EOTD with Sleek Curacao Palette and Ballerina Eyelashes

HELLO! Here is my EOTD with  the Sleek Curacao palette and the new Ballerina Eyelashes (CM 424) [eyelashes were sent to me by KKCenterHK a while ago].

I love Sleek's Curacao palette for creating bold and bright eye looks. I usually opt for bright and colorful eye looks to make me feel cheerful and alive when the weather gets cold and gloomy.

Elegant Eyes and Goddess Eyes

HELLO! Recently, MeMeMe Cosmetics sent me the following Eyeshadows - Elegant Eyes Trio and Goddess Eyes Quad. These Eyeshadows are just perfect for me as I love experimenting with different shades and textures.

To those not in the know MeMeMe is a High street brand offering high quality make up products at budget friendly prices.

Priced at £6.50, the Goddess Eyes Quad contains four baked shades in Cream, Light Gold, Bronze and Rich Copper for creating a variety of glamorous eye looks.
The Elegant Eyes Eyeshadow Trio is priced at £5.50 and includes stunning shades of Mauve, Lilac and Grey.
Check out the MeMeMe website for more exciting shades that are available in form of Quad, Trio and Mono eyeshadows and also check out their easy step by step guide on using their quads/ trios to create amazing eye looks!

In the pics below I used the Elegant Eyes trio and came up with this eye look after following their step by step guide

I find this look to be subtle, dreamy and romantic.....

Here I used the Goddess Eyes quad to do my eye look.....

I think that my eyes look quite piercing in this look and would pair it with a red lippy for a complete glam look...

Between the two eye looks, which one do you like more? For me it's the Elegant Eye Look!

88 Eyeshadow Metal Mania Palette/ Random Swatches/ EOTD

HELLO! For quite sometime I've been trying out the ES Brand 88 Color Eyeshadow - Metal Mania Palette and eagerly looking forward to posting a review about it! A Couple of weeks back I received this Palette from KKCenterHK who had contacted me and asked me if I would be interested in trying it out and post a review about it! The product reached me in immaculate condition in a bubble envelope and wrapped in plenty of bubble sheets to prevent any damage to the eyeshadows!

88 Eyeshadow Metal Mania Palette

It is slim, lightweight and comes with a good sized mirror plus sponge applicators which makes it perfect for traveling!

Here is the 88 eyeshadow Metal Mania palette, a playful palette for experimenting with color and trying new looks! It comes with a mix of bright and pastel colors, all very wearable shades. All the colors have a shimmery texture and are nicely pigmented and blend out very well too.

(Without Flash)

I won't compare the quality of these with Urban Decay or MAC ones as you get what you pay for, but having said that, they have a pretty decent quality for the price, with the colors going on smoothly and aren't chalky like some of the shades in the 120 Manly palette that I'd purchased sometime back.

(With Flash)

There are only a few things that I would like to point out about this palette is that it lacks many green and blue shades and doesn't even include a single black color in it which I feel is an essential color for the crease.

This palette retails on KKCenterHK's website for $22.37. I would say that it's a great palette if you're just starting out with makeup and want to experiment with a bunch of colors without spending too much!

Some random Swatches

I decided to do an eye look using only eye shadows from this palette, so you can see how it holds up on the eyes. (pics taken without flash)

So that was my two cents on the 88 Color Eyeshadow - Metal Mania palette from KKCenterHK. Click HERE to check out my review on some awesome eyelashes sent to me by them.

Happy Valentine's day + NOTD, EOTD & a ring made by me!

Today, the 14th of February, is Valentine's Day! A day to share with one and all the most beautiful thing - Love! So I wish all of my lovely and sweet readers a Very Happy Valentine's Day and I hope all of you have day filled with lots and lots of fun and joy! Me on my part will be spending it with my loved ones and hope to make it one of the happiest days ever!

As a dedication for this day I created special V-day nails, an eyelook and a handmade ring!

Let me start of with the nails - I painted my nails with the classic Red nail polish from Nail's Inc and then added a couple of blue and yellow rhinetones on top to make them look a little bit more flashy. I dabble in nail art and it's not my forte so please excuse my somewhat messy looking nail art digits! So there it is folks the NOTD for Valentine's day!

Next the Eyelook - I wanted to keep it simple and sober but at the same time didn't want to look like a plain jane so added a bit of definition to my eyes by lining my upper lids with a black eyeliner and filling in my brows and also decided to give my eyes an extra oomph for the V-day by adding a little bit of golden glitter on the middle lid.

Finally the ring I made - Girls, I am so estatic about my new ring! it's the first ever handmade ring created by me, for myself, for the special day! I have never before created any piece of jewellery in my entire life so this ring is special for me in every way and I'm so glad that I'll be wearing it on this day!

So Guys and Gals what are your plans for Valentine's Day? Feel free to share them here!

I Spotted some Bargain Deals in Superdrugs!

A few days back I went to Superdrugs at Birmingham City Center and spotted some fantastic deals [on cosmetic products! Obviously!]. One of them was the Barry M 'Get the Look' Gift set, the price of which had come down to £7.99 and as only a few were left I grabbed some for myself! This set contains 3 Barry M loose pigments - Violet star, Candy Floss and Berry Pink and comes with a makeup brush which I find is good for blending and contouring purpose. For those of you who are unaware - Barry M is a drugstore brand based in the UK. Barry M's eye shadows are made with high quality ingredients and are well pigmented and come in a huge spectrum of shades to choose from and best of all are not priced very high!

Violet Star is more of a glitter pigment, Candyfloss is a beautiful shimmery peachy pink, Berry Pink is an intense bright magenta color.

Its a good brush for blending and contouring

A look that I created using all of the above three pigments:)

I also picked up a few make up brushes by a brand called FAMOUS by Sue Moxley, a brand I think is exclusive to Superdrugs. These brushes normally retail for £6 to £10 but I was lucky to get it on a clearance sale price by paying £2 each for the five small brushes and £4 for the big powder brush [RRp £10]. As they were a fantastic bargain I just couldn't resist the temptation to buy them! Do I recommend these brushes? Yes! These are very good brushes for the bargain price I paid! I am loving the clear brush handle and overall quality is good, the big powder brush is the best of the bunch, its big enough for a quick application of powder and I also find myself reaching for it for my blush application, although I must admit, it sheds a little bit but not heavily at all. Overall, I am chuffed to have found these cuties!

L to R: Lash & Brow Brush, Lip Brush, Eyeshadow Brush, Powder Brush, Fan Brush, Angled Eye Liner/Brow Brush

So guys, If you fancy getting yourself some good makeup brushes for a low price, grab the FAMOUS brushes while the clearance lasts!

Last Night's FOTD!

I clicked these pics before going to a family get together and decided to call my look in it as my 'LAST NIGHT FOTD'. The eye make up is a merger of feminine and bold colors [i.e. pink and black with a touch of gold and silver, inspired by my earrings]! For lips I went in for a a pretty soft light pink colour from Illamasqua and i did this to make my eyes stand out and also to make my face look softer in appearance.

EOTD and a Blog Award!

Its been quite a while since I did an eye look with a mono eyeshadow, so today, I grabbed my NYX eyeshadow in Hot Orange and coated my entire upper lid with it, leaving the brow bone. I am feeling orange these days!

On my brow bone , I have used the GOSH Effect Powder in Gold Dust (I love how metallic these are, love the pigmentation too!)

I am also wearing 'Lotus Herbals' (Indian Brand) Eyeliner on my upper lashline and MAC fluidline on my waterline. On my lower lids, I am wearing the same NYX shadow and a bit of MAC fulidline smudged over it for a smudgy look.

This time I have gone for the Golddigga Mascara (available in TJ Hughes), applied 2 coats of this mascara on my upper lashline and 1 coat on the lower.

Now, for the eyebrows I used a dark brown lip liner from a generic brand :D as i was unable to locate my brow pencil in my overfilled train case! Gosh, I need another traincase for my ever so growing makeup!

I hope you gals like this look :)

Now coming to the Blog Award part!

Emily from Emily Loves has nominated me for the Lovely Blog award!

I have already been given this award by the lovely Cynthia but felt of doing a mini thank you post on this just to say:
Thank You all for supporting me!

Thank you Emily for the award, You are a sweetie! I love your blog and your FOTD posts!

This is for you girls:)

(hehe I love snuggly cuddly teddies :))

On my part I've been busy. Busy Busy Busy! Exams you see! Gotta study you know! And the reason why I haven't been posting much in recent days!

Anyways the other day while I sat in front of my dressing table I was rummaging through my make up box and came across a box of OPIA loose shadow pigments

After that I applied some No7 Extragavant Mascara on my eyelashes, some Lotus Herbals Eyeliner on my upperlids and finally some Kohl Liner [Kajal] by Shahnaz Hussein. After that I shot a few pictures of mine and post them here as my EOTD and name them as my MYSTIC EYE LOOK! Hope you all liked it!
