FOTD: Purple and Green

HELLO! I decided to try out my Grimas Eyeshadow palette (review coming soon!) and came up with this Purple and Green look. I haven't done a FOTD in what seems like forever, I wore this makeup while going out this weekend and got lots of compliments on how bright and awake my eyes looked, all thanks to the Grimas Eyeshadow Palettes which I love! I have collected lots of Grimas Eyeshadows for the past many years and they have always been my first choice for professional/bridal eye makeup, I have a lot to rave about them but will do a separate post on my Grimas palettes soon!

EYES: Urban Decay Primer Potion, Grimas Eyeshadows in shade 487, 574, 571, 776, AVON Glimmerstick in shade Blakest Black, Smashbox Mascara Primer, Stila Major lash Mascara, Illamasqua Eye Brow Cake in shade Vehement.

JINNYLash Review / FOTD

HELLO!  Belated New Year 2013 Greetings to all of you! This week I “lashed out” a bit and decided to go for a set of colourful, playful, multi glitter lashes on my friend's b'day party. I received two set of lashes from JINNYlash, who stock a full range of fabulous lashes for any occasion. The two pairs of lashes that I received were - Black Swan Strip lashes and Disco Diva Strip lashes.

Black Swan is a set of wispy lashes with added black feathers. They are thinly spaced and the length of the lashes increases as you move from the inner part of the lash to the outer part of the lash. They give your lashes a lot of length, as opposed to volume.

Disco Diva is a dramatic multi glitter lashes with added length and shape for extra impact. They are ultimate party lashes giving a terrific look and perfect for a special occasion!

The lashes come in a pretty box with nice damask pattern on the sides which I am  displaying  on my dressing table these days! Each pair comes with a mini tube of lash glue which I think is a clever idea as you don't have to rush to the town to get a lash glue in case you run out of them! The mini lash tube also comes very handy while travelling or touch ups during the day.

The best part about these lashes is that they are very sturdy yet lightweight and therefore last a long time plus the strength also means they are very easy to clean.

I really like these lashes for nights out but feel are a little too heavy for daytime use!

Tip- when using the glue – instead of dropping it onto the lash, rather slide the glue across the upper lash line using a thin applicator such as a toothpick.

Sleek True Colour Lipstick / FOTD

HELLO! I'm loving these lipsticks from Sleek MakeUP! These are nicely pigmented, creamy, and affordable ( £4.99 each from SleekmakeUP website)! The packaging is elegant and the colour is long lasting, I can get around 3 hours wear before it starts to fade. There are 20 shades of these lipsticks and they are available in two finishes - Sheen and Matte. I have these lipsticks in shades ‘Barely There’ and ‘Fuchsia’, both have a sheen finish. I Love both shades!


 I would wear the Fuchsia on a night out or during the evening and wear Barely There during the day as it looks so light and fresh, and looks gorgeous with dramatic eye makeup!. 


The Sleek True Colour 'sheen' finish lipsticks just glide on and have a waxy finish, nice and shiny but still very pigmented.

The texture of these feel very similar to the MAC cremesheens.

I love these Sleek True Colour lipsticks and I'm going to the shops this weekend to purchase matte colours :)

FOTD - Friend's Birthday Party

HELLO! I wanted to share with you a makeup look that I'm wore to my friend's birthday party. I wanted to have an eye look that was quick and easy to do. This was just makeup, before I did my hair and all that, so excuse that.

I did a neutral eye look, cat liner and a pop of multi-coloured glitter on the lids. I also curled my hair after a long time, it took me about an hour to curl all of my hair as I have naturally straight long hair.

My Look For A Birthday Party

HELLO! I was invited to attend a birthday party bash thrown by a close friend of mine over a week back.... The party started on Saturday night and went on till the wee hours of morning. We playing a few party games and also watched a movie on home theater! I wore a new black lacy, frilly dress and did a silvery smokey eye makeup look using my bobbi brown eyeshadow quad (review coming soon) to compliment my outfit. A New FOTD!

HELLO! It been quite sometime since I did an FOTD related post and so I thought why not do one today and so here goes...





For my eyes I used a combination of peachy and a brownish-black shade from My Grimas Eyesahdow palette, MAC Fluidline Blactrack gel eye liner and Covergirl Colorblast Mascara in Brown.



On my face i am wearing MAC Pro Longwear foundation in NC 25, Becca Mineral Boudoir Skin Powder in Rapture, MUFE Sculpting Duo in shade 3 and Sleek Blush in Rose Gold.



I filled my lips with the Barry M Lipliner in Red and applied my all time favourite MAC Lipglass in shade Lychee Luxe on top of it.

FOTD - Some Mobile Uploads

HELLO! Being in a good mood today I clicked a few pics of myself using my mobile phone and 'luckily' most of them had come out quite well (yah, my cell phone sucks at taking good quality pics :S) so I decided to share some of them with you....

For my face, I started off by applying a little bit of MUFE Stop Shining Shine Corrector on my t-zone area for a shine free look all day and then chose to wear my MAC Pro Longwear foundation on top of it.



I went in for a simple eye look by swiping over a layer of brown eyeshadow using my trusted Grimas Palette over the eyelid and then filled in the brows with Illamasqua Brow powder in shade Vehement.
I am a fan of MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and I rarely go out without lining my upper lids with it. I am also loving the the Matte Highlighter from Anastasia which I like to use on my brow bone as well as on the waterline to give an illusion of bigger and brighter eyes...



I was chuffed to see the Lord and Berry Lipstick Crayon in shade Earth (purchased from ASOS) in my mail box today (hummm now you know why I was in a good mood!). After wearing it on my lips, I realized that it was complimenting my eye makeup really well and therefore I decided to keep it on for rest of the day....



This is what happens to me after I get fed up of clicking way too many pictures with my mobile phone with most them turning out bad! Ok I know where your mind is rightnow..... don't you dare say that I look like Michael Jackson in this pic! I am serious, Grrrrr!

FOTD Using the Zen Face Palette!

HELLO!

In my previous Post, I'd talked about how much I adored my new Laura Mercier Zen Face Palette so when I was asked by some of my fellow bloggers to create a look using this palette, I was more than happy to oblige :)

For this look, I pretty much used everything from the Zen Face Palette.
I used the shades Willow and Wisteria on my eyes and for my lips I went in for the shade Peach Blossom. The blush shade that I am wearing is also from the Zen Face Palette :)
As for my makeup base, I used my beloved MUFE HD Foundation and did a bit of face sculpting with my MUFE Sculpting Kit.
As much as I wanted to keep my makeup to look pretty neutral, I didn't want to end up with a total washed out face so I chose to opt for stronger, well-defined eyebrows by filling them heavily with my Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake in shade Vehement.

Miss Rainbow Kabuki

HELLO! After about an hour of oohs and aahs with my newly acquired rainbow color Kabuki brush (bought from an ebay shop), I decided to finally celebrate the uber gorgeousness of this chubby beauty by posing with it for this FOTD post! I just love the colorful vibrant bristles, so soft and lovely which feels like rabbit fur on my skin!
This has a big and sturdy handle for a good grip and what's even better is that it's embedded with swaraski crysyals, for even better eye candy! In short, I call it a mother of all Kabukis I own, and it simply rocks!
