Look at my pictures in this post! You can see I am wearing a Churidar Salwar Kameez but then if you look closely you can see I really am not wearing a Churidar Kameez! Before I go onto describe what it is let me illuminate you people about the story behind this outfit:- Last night I had to attend an Indian wedding reception and I was confused as to what to wear as I usually wear Jeans, trousers and skirts and its been many years since I shopped for an Indian dress or shopped around for some traditional Indian outfits! The problem was big as I didn't want to become an eyesore wearing an all western dress or a misfit in a ready made ill fitting Indian suit and so after a lot of contemplation I finally came up with a simple solution that would save me from embarrassment from either situation...The solution! Very simple! It's all about mixing and matching the individual pieces of Indian and Western attires to create the best of both worlds!
So off goes the breakdown of my outfit!
The western part in my outfit is the ruffle skirt from Zara, a long sleeved tee and pink footless tights from George ASDA . The Indian part being the 'Dupatta' (Stole) and some Indian style bangles and jewelery to match and Voila! I was ready to rock the party in a cocktail of both styles!

@Janine &Makeup with MBA: awwee thanks girls!
ReplyDelete@Elle: You could try this for your hair:
Mix 1 to 2 tablespoon of Castor or jojoba oil with a tablespoon of coconut oil and apply it to your hair 2-3 hours before rinsing it off with a good shampoo, use it every 3 to 4 days for 2 to 3 months to see the result & do let me know if it worked :)
By the way I just opened an etsy shop. Step by you are very welcome.
