Hey Everyone!
A few weeks back Sleek Make Up organised a contest at their Facebook page whereby the first 10 winners got to win a full collection of Sleek I-Divine Eyeshadow palettes, the next 10 getting one I-Divine Palette and last and the next 10 getting a pair of Sleek Eye Kajals in Odyssey and Nocturnal and guess what I was one of the few to win the Kajal set though I do wish I had won the complete I-Divine set (Greedy me of course!)! As it was mainly a contest testing on the speed at which the contestants post their entry and the moment the actual contest was announced, it got approx 150 -200 replies to it, all in a minute's time, all trying their best to fit among the 30 lucky winners! How I still remember my heart pounded loud and fast moments before the contest started!
I am happy I at least won something and more importantly the Kajals which by the way had been on my wish-list for a while and now I have them with me minus all the spending and shopping around! HeHe! The Bottom line is Sleek does care for its fans and keep them happy by rewarding them often by organising such contests and I am sure more are to come in the future! :)
Now, the review! The Sleek Kajal comes in adorable packaging which I simply love, especially the ribbon attached to lid which makes it look cute! The actual kajal comes in a conical bullet which is easy to apply. The color glides on like a butter! Its very smooth and pigmented and won't drag the delicate eye region. It comes in two colors - Odyssey and Nocturnal. They don't have any glitter in them. It's staying power is very good but they are not totally smudge or water proof. Odyssey, a deep purple shade also contains a tiny hint of shimmer, would make a lovely choice for those with green or hazel eyes! Nocturnal is a Black shade which is the staple colour for every kajal lover to have in their makeup kit!
However, this product is designed in a way that does not allow it to be sharpened up with a sharpener (which can be a plus point as it never needs sharpening!) to get a fine tip and by the time you reach down to the bottom of the bullet you might need an eye brush to pick up the colour from the blunt bullet for precision lining, hence not an ideal choice for ladies on the go who can't spare more than 5 seconds out of their 5 minutes makeup routine for applying kajal!
Overall, its a decent budget-friendly kajal from Sleek, available at Superdrugs for £3.99. So all the kajal lovers out there, if you are planning on a trip to the Superdrugs shortly, do check it out for sure!

ReplyDeleteOh, how nice to win that exciting contest! Congratulations! Yay! :D The packaging of these kajals reminds me a lot of the kajal that I have from Arcancil, including the ribbon! I'm totally drawn to Odyssey. It's such a beautiful shade. :)
