HELLO!Today I am going to share with all of you my humble collection of Kabuki brushes which I've been collecting since last year. So far I have collected a total of 6 kabuki brushes, sizes of which range from baby to giant ones!
A Kabuki Brush is a must have tool for me to apply powder, foundation, bronzer, mineralized skinfinish and even blush!
1. Genie Beauty Kabuki - I purchased this from QVC last year and till now it's the softest Kabuki brush I have ever used! Seriously, I am speechless when describing how soft and gentle it is on the skin! I just LOVE it! This is a very dense brush made from Taklon bristles. I use it with powders and even with liquid foundations and it gives a perfect flawless result every time!
2. Rainbow Kabuki - I got this a while back from Ebay and have also reviewed it HERE on my blog. Its a soft and big brush, very useful for dusting powder over larger areas especially when I'm in hurry, I pick this kabuki over the others to buff up my entire face and neck in no time and boy I love its multi-colored bristles and crystal embellished handle ^-^
3. George Kabuki - It was an impulsive purchase from ASDA and now I hardly reach for this. It's a giant and fluffy brush - the daddy kabuki! The only time I show some love for this brush is when I've a party to attend and want to dazzle up my arms and legs with some shimmer dust. Not to mention, it sheds hair just like a daddy's balding head haha!
4. BareMinerals Kabuki - It came with the i.d Bare Escentuals mineral makeup kit and its the smallest kabuki brush in my collection. I've renamed it as 'Babuki' brush, as this one is truly tiny, almost like a baby version of all Kabukis that I own and it's perfect for traveling! It's made with goat hairs and I use it for buffing in the powder or mineral foundations in smaller areas of my face such as around the eyes and nose. However, it feels a wee bit scratchy on my skin and sheds a few hairs, which can be annoying when putting on the powder.
5. Smashbox Kabuki - It came with the Halo Hydrating Perfecting powder and since it's of a smaller size, I use this for mainly applying blush.
6. Amazing Cosmetics Kabuki - It's almost the same size as the Smashbox Kabuki. I bought it a year back only for its metallic hot pink handle and an 'eye' shape drawing on it, which looked very funky and cool to me! It's not a very dense brush and feels scratchy too & I'm keeping it as a spare in my kit and only use it when all my other kabuki brushes have gone dirty and are in need of a good wash.
So that was my Kabuki Collection, hope you liked it. Have a good day, See you soon another time xoxo
